We found Sue early on in our search for a celebrant and after speaking with her over the phone we felt no need to look any further! Sue makes it very known that she is an advocate for equality and as a same sex couple, working with allies is both important and comforting. The process that Sue has refined enables her to write incredibly personalised and meaningful ceremonies. I was in tears reading our first draft! Other than being a phenomenal celebrant, Sue is an awesome person and an asset to anyone getting married. She is more than willing to lend her knowledge of great local suppliers, her research on current trends and her advice when things might not be going as planned. On the day, we had so many guests comment that our ceremony was like no other they had been to. Perfect length, tailored to us and presented with eloquence, wit and a warm heart. We were lucky enough to come across Sue when we were planning our wedding! We had no idea what we were looking for exactly, we just knew we wanted someone who was down to earth and someone who could create a ceremony that reflected us. After our first conversation with Sue over the phone (who was travelling at the time, but still so invested and wanting to get to know us), we knew instantly that she was the celebrant for us. Throughout the organisation and lead up to our wedding day, Sue kept in contact with us, gave us various options for our ceremony and was available to answer any questions. Thank goodness for Celebrant Sue! My now husband and I decided to have a surprise wedding with fairly short notice and Sue made herself available. She even delayed a personal road trip just so she could marry us! Sue's paperwork is super helpful and very thorough! My husband and I had no idea and Sue coached us through the whole process. Sue made a point of requesting photos of our family members so she could introduce herself on the night which we thought was just so lovely. We loved Sue's company so much that we asked her stay for the rest of the night! I can’t recommend Sue highly enough, our night would not of gone as smoothly without her. Sue was so fantastic throughout the whole wedding process. She communicated to us clearly what we needed to do, from a legal stand point, and was warm and funny. She set the tone for our ceremony beautifully, and helped to create a wonderful flow. We loved how accommodating Sue was, so we were able to have the unique ceremony we wanted. She facilitated our hand fasting, didn’t blink when the crowd showed up covered in tattoos, rolled with my mum as she smoke cleansed the ceremony space, myself, and the crowd, with a hand made cleansing stick. Never batted an eyelid when our friend hand drew runes in the dirt beside the altar. She barely even flinched when I pulled a knife from my bra during rehearsal when we needed to cut some ribbon! Sue is delightful and charming, an absolute pleasure to work with. She’s like your favourite aunty and makes you feel welcome and relaxed as soon as you meet her. We love you Sue!

Trying to plan a wedding on the other side of the world could have been a real challenge, but with Sue involved it seemed so simple. Sue is such a bubbly person from the first meet to the last! She gives you endless ideas for your ceremony, but always stresses that it is YOURS and to do what you and your partner wish, there are no right or wrong ways. My partner and I found her so helpful throughout our whole wedding planning. She didn’t stop at being our celebrant, she recommended our cake supplier and our hair and make up artist. Sue is very prompt in replying to messages and puts her heart and soul into every single ceremony she works on. At our reception, I had a guest come to me and comment on how much everyone loved our celebrant. This guest was from Torquay and has had many family members marry in the area, and she said 'none of their celebrants had anything on this lady.' That just made me smile ear to ear.
